The meeting of directors, further development of a wide network

The annual meeting of directors of the Schools of Political Studies was held this year in Venice on 3-4 April. The meeting was held in the office of the Council of Europe at the famous Italian city, which is also the venue of the Venice Commission, another important structure of the Council of Europe.

Call for lab submissions - WFD 2014

The third edition of the World Forum for Democracy, to take place on 3-5 November 2014, will address the challenge of re-building young people’s trust in democracy and re-shaping institutions to give youth real influence on decision-making in all social arenas.

Training on academic and essay writing

The Albanian School of Political Studies programme includes specific training on academic and essay writing which is delivered in parallel to the essay writing process. On 28 March 2014, the first seminar on such topic was conducted under the guidance of the general coordinator for the essay writing exercise, Mr. Bernard Zeneli.

First national course – Political parties and elections

The first national course of the Albanian School of Political Studies named “Political Parties and elections” took place in Pogradec from 28 February – 2 March 2014. About 20 participants actively learned and shared theories and experiences with particular focus on the developments in Albania.

Seminar for SPS alumni - Russia, 23 - 25 April 2014

Moscow School of Civic Education (MSCE) will organise on 23-25 April 20124 the federal seminar under the title "Citizenship as a responsible freedom" that will be held in Golitsyno, Moscow region. The organisers of this special event for MSCE graduates of different years have also planned a quota for foreign participants

Seminar on decentralization and administrative reform

“Decentralization in Albania: achievements and the way ahead” was the central topic of the first seminar with the participants of Albanian School of Political Studies, held on 8 February 2014, in Tirana. The guest speaker for this event was the minister of local issues, Mr. Bledi Çuçi and his adviser, Mr. Enea Hoti.

First national course of the ASPS - Pogradec 2013

The first national course of the Albanian School of Political Studies named "Political Parties and elections" took place in Pogradec from 22-24 February 2013. About 22 participants actively learned and shared theories and experiences with particular focus on the developments in Albania over the last 20 years.

Diploma ceremony of 2012 academic year

The Albanian School of Political Studies (ASPS) handed over diplomas to a new group of students on a graduation ceremony that took place today at Tirana International Hotel. Thirty three students received their diplomas upon successful completion of a one-year period of study. Present at this event were President H.E.Mr. Bujar Nishani, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mrs. Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni and the Deputy Swiss Ambassador, Mr. John Ruhoff. The special guests together with ASPS management issued diplomas, congratulated the new graduates and expressed their willingness to continue supporting the school.

Applications for the Political School -Year 2013

The Albanian School of Political Studies has launched the call for applicants for 2013. The Albanian School of Political Studies is a Council of Europe project, with co-financing from the Swiss Cooperation, aiming to help young leaders in political, administrative, legal, economic, social and cultural sectors prepare for their duties. Through dialogue and interactive learning, the School will deal the whole scope of challenges to our societies, as well as it will help to create links between new generations of leaders in their own countries as well as across borders.
