The Municipal Assembly in Suhareka voted today for the approval of the draft Municipal Action Plan for Energy Efficiency (PKVEE) 2024 - 2026. This is a decisive step for the Municipality of Suhareka in its journey towards energy efficiency. The plan is part of the strategic documents produced as part of the "Pathway to efficient local use of natural resources" project, supported by the cross-border cooperation program IPA II of the European Union ALBANIA - KOSOVO (2014 - 2020).

This plan includes initiatives and measures aimed at reducing energy consumption, promoting sustainability and implementing practices that benefit the environment and the local community. The plan also includes areas such as energy conservation, CO2 reduction in the municipality, adoption of renewable energy and infrastructure improvements to achieve more efficient use of energy in the municipality of Suhareka.

Our project will continue various activities in providing expertise as well as concrete investments working towards a greener and more sustainable future for Suharek! This project is financed by the European Union and implemented by the Academy of Political Studies, the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies and the municipalities of Kurbin and Suharekë.
