The MPs, members of the Green Group at the Albanian Assembly, enabled a consultation with interest groups on the draft law "On promoting the use of energy from renewable sources". This important draft for energy development arrived at the Assembly without receiving any comments during the online consultation period.
In today's session, the main associations that group energy producers from HPP and solar and wind plants presented their recommendations. The representative of Euroelektra, Anduel Çekrezi, assessed as problematic the procedure for approving the request for the installation of these plants and suggested the liberalization and separation of these procedures. According to him, water panels should be allowed to be installed only with a request made to the municipality. Whereas, for photovoltaic panels, another procedure can be followed, because it requires a series of documentation.
ASP will continue to offer professional expertise and facilitate dialogue between different actors to improve the legislative process and the controlling role of the Parliament of Albania.
