The "Albanian School of Political Studies" successfully closed the academic year for the participants of the generation 2020. A group of 15 new leaders graduated after completing a one-year cycle on good governance, political organization, leadership and European Union policies.
The ceremony was greeted by the Deputy Chair of the Albanian Parliament, Ms. Vasilika Hysi, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tirana, Ms. Jutta Gutzkow and the program manager of “Bashki te forta”, Mr. Jacques Merat, who congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to further transmit the values and knowledge gained during the program.
Two representatives of the graduate group, Ms. Enslemvera Zake, one of the new MPs and Mr. Ermal Telha, greeted on behalf of the group and thanked both APS and donors for the opportunity to be part of the programe and the alumni network.
The School was supported this year by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Open Society Foundation for Albania (OSFA). The synergy with the project "Strong Municipalities" of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation also created the opportunity to support the presence of five additional participants from women municipal councilors. This year’s program was implemented despite the difficult situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, being adapted in a hybrid format between face-to-face trainings and online seminars.
