Over 20 local authorities and civil society representatives started today the first online training of the Training Academy for Local Actors, implemented by the Academy of Political Studies within the project "Starting from the grass-roots: Civil society Role in the EU Integration Process in Albania", supported by the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy and Finance under the IPA II instrument.

The program aims to capacity local actors in Shkodra, Lezha, Durres, Fier and Vlora, through a training cycle, built on the curricula of two project partners from Italy and Poland, as well as the experience of the Center of Expertise of the Council of Europe, in order to contribute to common in the process of European integration of the country.

Following the impact of COVID-19 and measures taken, the trainings will take place in online format in six webinars during the forthcoming weeks.

The modules of the Training Academy are delivered from a group of experts who have previously been certified by the CoE Center of Expertise for the implementation of the curriculum "Leadership Academy Program - LAP" and are familiar with the context of local government and its challenges.
