In the framework of its support to alumni network, the Academy of Political Studies, in partnership with the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA) organised a two-days training on the "The EU accession negotiations process", on 22-23 November 2014, in Pogradec. Albania will shortly begin the process of negotiation and the adequate level of knowledge and experience of the negotiators will directly affect the performance of this important process for our country. The course gathered around 30 participants from the APS alumni network, mainly relevant representatives from the public administration who will have a role in the accession's negotiations.
The programme combined theoretical approaches with practical aspects and experience, in particular the one of the recent EU member states. The experts which delivered their experience were Mr. Gentian Elezi, Albanian deputy minister of European Integration; Z. Fatmir Demneri, director of ASPA; Ms. Plamena Halacheva, deputy head of political department in the EU Delegation in Tirana; Ms. Dubravka Kobas Lucic, former member of chief of negotiation Croatia- BE office; Mr. Hubert Petit, EU diplomat and professor of European Studies and Mr. Alban Bala, PR expert.
Upon completion of training a certificate was issued jointly by APS and ASPA.
