Meeting with the president of the republic

The President of the Republic, Bamir Topi received today a representation composed by directors, pedagogues and students of the Albanian School of Political Studies which is exercising its academic activity in our country and is supported by the Council of Europe.

The participants in this meeting expressed first of all the gratitude for being received by the Head of state and his interest about the activity of this academic institution. During the open and friendly conversation with President Topi, they pointed out some of the initiatives undertaken to successfully fulfil the mission of training the future generations of political, economical, social and cultural leaders. The interlocutors informed the President about the main issue included in the curricula of the Albanian School of Political Studies on the functional democracy, regional rapports, European integration and challenges of globalization and invited President Topi to offer his support for the realization of its academic projects.

On his part, President Topi conveyed to the participants in this meeting the best considerations for the mission of this school serving the professional education of the young generation that will engage in politics in the practical and studying aspects of it. The Head of state pointed out that this would serve to the increase of the level of domestic political debate about vital issue and important and long-term strategies for the development of Albania in the future, and would also be a valuable contribution in meeting the integrating standards in the European family. President Topi also expressed the readiness to support the initiatives of the academic staff of the Albanian School of Political Studies through the academic and institutional cooperation.
